Collin De Ruyck heralds from Winnipeg, Manitoba and is one of 2 Canadians that earned a spot in the Top Affiliate Challenge. Barely missing the original casting cut, Collin was not one of the original 12 contestants on the Top Affiliate Challenge. But when Ty Hurd had to bow out for a family emergency Collin was able to step up and take his place in the 11th hour.

Top Affiliate Challenge was always about more than affiliate marketing to Collin. A artist and plumber by trade, he severely injured his back which has prevented him from working and earning a living for his son Devin and Fiancé Andrea. When his body wouldn't allow him to work any longer, Collin turned to the Internet for alternatives.

De Ruyck has been blogging for about a year now, is in the process of building the first Wordpress powered social networking site geared towards the blogging community, and credits John Chow with inspiring him to find a better life online for himself and his family.
